Since 2008, Digital-Recyclers Ltd has evolved into one of the Scotlands leading IT recycling and disposal specialists with many of Scotlands blue chip companies amongst our client portfolio. We can confidently claim to have developed one of the most efficient and comprehensive asset retirement solutions in the industry today, borne out by our client retention rate of 96.4%.

Unlike most recycling companies that charge you to remove your unused it equipment, we make no charge at all within the Highlands of Scotland,If you are outside of the highlands we charge on a fuel basis only keeping your costs down.

Each year we dispose of 1.9 million tonns of electrical waste and a large amount goes into landfill.

Our Aim

Unlike many computer recycling and disposal companies, we aim to reuse as many computers as possible.

Finding new homes for old equipment is much better for the environment than simply breaking the machines down, this way as little of the original machine is sent for disposal and recycling results in less waste due to lowering demand for new computer production.

Your Machines

Upon arrival all computers are processed in our "in house" service centre. All hard drives are removed and crushed, this protects any data left on them from falling into the wrong hands and protects your privacy.

Computer collections

When you phone us we will ask for details of the equipment to be collected, when your equipment details have been taken we will arrange a collection at a time convenient to you.

You will receive all the appropriate paperwork relating to your equipment showing compliance to the necessary WEEE regulations for recycling and disposal.

Your Guarantee Data protection

Under no circumstances will any computer coming into our recycling center be switched on before the hard drives have been removed and destroyed.

Our recycling procedure requires that all received equipment is processed through our service center.

Computers once refurbished and fitted with new hard drives then undergo rigorous tests and are then certified suitable for new homes.

Digital-Recyclers are fully compliant with the WEEE directive 2002/96/EC of the european parliament and of the council of 27 January 2003 on waste electrical and electronic equipment(WEEE).
